- Apply Gradient
- Create a gradient using the photoshop gradient style tool.
(Double click layer to open layer styles)
Opacity: 71%
Scale: 150%
Gradient Colors Used:
245f9b -> FFFFFF
Your results should look similar to the blue gradient button. (left)

- Create top layer
- While holding Ctrl, Click the blue button layer to create a selection. (See Left)
Create a new layer called "button" and fill it with a light gray.
The color used in this demonstration: f0f0f0
- Contract selection by 1px.
Photoshop menu: Select -> Modify -> Contract (1px)
- Delete the outside 1px.
Inverse Selection: Shift+Ctrl+I
Photoshop Menu: Select -> Inverse
Press Delete
Your results should look similar to the image at left.

- Bevel and Emboss
- Now we will apply the Bevel and Emboss style to this layer.
- Button Structure - Inner Bevel - Smooth
Change Depth to 500%
Size: 4
Soften: 0
- Shading - 120* / 30*
Change the highlight opacity to 100%
Shadow opacity to about 9%.
Apply Settings

- Add text to complete button.
- Add your text and the button should look like the completed button. (left)
- Try changing various steps for specific results.
- Darker BG Gradient for more crisp outline.
- Change bevel size for bevel height adjustment.
